Hello Bloggers!

Hello fellow bloggers! As my group and I pondered on an idea for our blog we all decided that we apperciate the pretty things in life. All three of us are interested in all aspects of design from interior design, fashion design, painting, drawings or even just the design you see when you look at the brick buildings that cover campus or the famous bell tower. As a group we wanted to explore more of what Purdue has to offer visually. Through this blog we want to expose the beauty of this big ten campus.

I usually take the walk to class for granted because I am either half asleep or rushing to make it on time because I am always a late arriver. But next time you are walking to class take a look around you and see what Purdue has to offer. We have such diversity of buildings, nature and people at Purdue. All the uniqueness around us makes Purdue pretty!

Wow! You're right. I never thought about the visual aspects of Purdue's campus. And I'm with you, I definitely take my walks to class for granted. Our campus is beautiful. That picture in your blog is gorgeous. I know I love looking at the fountains here especially when they're actually turned on. It's a very pretty sight. I'm very interested in seeing what other pretty things at Purdue you are going to point out that I would never notice. I was walking through the courtyard of Cary Quad one night and if you look towards the stadium through the buildings the ROSS-ADE sign looks so cool there. Maybe you should take a look at that too someday. I love how you are looking at Purdue in a different and fun sort of way!

I definitely agree with you. I am always too busy running around the campus to get to my classes. It is hard to notice all the pretty things Purdue have to offer while being rushed. I truly enjoy the natural beauty of the campus, especially in the fall. I walk by the Engineering Fountain about three or four times a day and I didn’t notice all those awesome flowers that make a circle, by the wall, around the fountain until yesterday. I also agree with you, trendygirl. I actually live in the Cary Quad and I didn’t notice the “Ross Ade” sign until few days ago. It looks really neat with those yellow lights shining on the black letters and the white background. Keep up the good work!

When it comes to getting to class on time, I usually don't have time to notice everything Purdue University has to offer to the eyes. I am always rushing, but on my way back to my dorm, I tend to walk a bit more slowly, and really take in Purdue. That's something I think everyone should try and do, even if it’s only once a week. Just slow down and really see what Purdue University has to offer. I remember when I first walked onto campus on my visit day, and I was just awe-struck when I got to the fountain, and how awesome it looks. The fountain will always be my favorite part of Purdue, but there are also many other beautiful places around campus, such as the bell tower.

This is a question for everyone: do you have a favorite place at Purdue, somewhere that's special to you for some reason? Is is a popular place, or somewhere "hidden"? When I was an undergrad my favorite place at my University was a brick path I walked on several times a week. Some of the bricks were loose, and I liked the sounds they made clicking together as I stepped on them. As for a favorite place at Purdue, I'm not sure I have one... Maybe Ross-Ade. My family has season tickets and I love to go to football games with them when they come to town. Our seats are nice, but fairly high. Twice when I've been there, though, I've seen a butterfly fly past. I've never seen butterflies fly so high. I guess they like Ross-Ade, too.
